Butter - East U.S.

Released on June 11, 2025

Butter production remains strong in the Northeast with churns operating at
capacity. Cream production from the farm is stronger than anticipated. Cream is
getting pulled to support other manufacturing operations but not enough to slow
down butter making. Spot sales of cream are available. The CME Grade AA butter
weekly average increased by more than 4 cents last week. This week, the price
dropped slightly, but contacts are not concerned. Inventory reports are showing
butter is moving despite the heavy production this year. Retail and food
service sales are steady. International sales for butter are strong. The
international report has noted a general increase in sales worldwide.
