Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on September 25, 2025

This week, prices for low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) decreased across
the range and mostly price series in the Central and East regions. Contacts say
domestic demand remains soft and export interest is declining. Spot inventories
vary throughout the Central region, as contacts say loads are more difficult to
obtain in the Midwest, compared to the Southwest. Milk output is trending
higher, leaving plenty of condensed skim milk available for drying. Plant
managers say low/medium heat NDM production is strong, while high heat
production remains limited. Prices for high heat NDM moved lower, following the
low/medium heat NDM market. Contacts report inventories remain tight, and
demand is light.
