Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on July 10, 2025

The top of the low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) price range moved higher
in the Central and East regions this week. Meanwhile, prices were unchanged at
the bottom of the range and across the mostly price series. In the Central and
East regions, domestic demand for low/medium heat NDM is light. Contacts report
export interest continues to soften, though some stakeholders note increased
inquiries from purchasers in Mexico this week. Spot loads of low/medium heat
NDM are available, but some manufacturers have tighter inventories than others.
Declining milk production is reducing some drying operations' ability to obtain
additional volumes for running full production schedules. Low/medium heat NDM
production remains strong, but plant managers say they are running lighter
production schedules than in June. Plant managers say they remain focused on
low/medium heat NDM, keeping high heat production limited. High heat NDM
inventories are tight. Contacts report light demand for high heat NDM, though
some relay an uptick in inquiries this week. High heat NDM prices are unchanged
across the range.
