Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on April 23, 2026

Prices for low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) increased in the Central and
East regions across the range and mostly price series. Tight inventories
continue to be the primary driver of the market and spot purchasers say it is
difficult to find loads. Domestic demand is steady to lighter, as contacts
report some market participants are only buying loads to meet their immediate
needs. Interest is light from purchasers in most international markets, as
nonfat dry milk produced domestically is priced at a premium to spot loads of
skim milk powder produced in other countries. Contacts say demand is strong
from purchasers in Mexico and contacts say they continue to get requests from
buyers in the country looking for additional loads. Milk output is strong and
drying operations are running busy schedules. Plant managers say their
schedules are focused on low/medium heat NDM as they try to keep pace with
demand and replenish stocks. High heat NDM production is limited. Contacts say
demand for high heat NDM is outpacing production, and spot loads are very
difficult to find. The price range for high heat NDM shifted higher this week.
