Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on January 02, 2026

Low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) prices were unchanged at the top of the
range but increased at the bottom of the range and across the mostly price
series in the Central and East regions. Stakeholders say spot inventories are
tight and it was more difficult to find available loads this week. Spot trading
is light this week, as the end of year holidays continued to negatively impact
domestic and international demand. Condensed skim milk is plentiful, allowing
drying operations to run busy production schedules, though downtime around the
New Years holiday is keeping production lighter. Production schedules are
focused on low/medium heat NDM, and plant managers say they are only making
high heat when needed to meet contractual demands. High heat NDM inventories
are tight, and demand is light. Prices increased at the bottom of the range for
high heat NDM, while holding steady at the top.
