Dry Whey - East U.S.

Released on July 16, 2026

The dry whey price band moved higher, supported by reported trading activity
and aligning with CME reported trades. Contacts reported increased whey buying
ahead of the expected tender from Japan next week. Manufacturers continue
prioritizing WPC 80% and WPI production due to active demand from
sports-nutrition and protein-enhanced food formulations. Contacts are noting
some resistance to WPC 80 and WPI pricing following recent rapid run-ups.
Production of Extra Grade and Grade A dry whey remains secondary, keeping spot
availability tight. Market tone is steady to firm.

Prices for: East, All First Sales, F.O.B., Edible Dry Whey
Price Range - Non-Hygroscopic; Dollars per Pound: 0.64 - 0.73
