In the East region, dry whey prices are unchanged across the range. Domestic 
dry whey loads are priced at a premium compared to loads produced in other 
countries. Stakeholders say this is contributing to light interest from export 
purchasers. Domestic dry whey demand is steady. Dry whey inventories are tight, 
and contacts report some manufacturers have limited spot availability through 
the remainder of July. Plant managers continue to focus production schedules on 
higher whey protein concentrates, amid strong demand and tight inventories for 
these commodities. Due to this, dry whey production remains light.
