Dry Whey - East U.S.

Released on May 22, 2025

The dry whey market was quiet this week. A few reported sales indicate prices
are rising, but sales volume is lower than expected. The top end of the dry
whey price range increased. Prices are expected to be stable to higher as
international trade rises. Whey production is strong due to an increase in
cheese manufacturing. Milk for Class III use is on the rise. Manufacturers of
whey are able to maintain healthy inventories.

Prices for: East, All First Sales, F.O.B., Edible Dry Whey
Price Range - Non-Hygroscopic; Dollars per Pound: 0.47 - 0.575
