Contracted sales remain steady, but contacts indicate an increasing volume of dry whey available for spot purchases. The Extra Grade price dropped two cents at the bottom of the range this week. Most prices for dry whey are staying at or near the NDPSR. Inventories of Extra Grade and Grade A dry whey are growing, but manufacturing of high protein whey derivatives is taking priority over dry whey, keeping inventories at manageable levels.
