Dry Whey - East U.S.

Released on February 19, 2026

Dry whey demand is softening in the East region this week. Contacts note a
decline in inquiries from buyers, but sales remain steady. Prices for Extra
Grade and Grade A dropped slightly at both ends of the range with most sales
positioned close to the National Dairy Products Sales Report (NDPSR) pricing
for the week. Contacts also indicate an increased demand for products that meet
specific customer requirements and those items are drawing prices near the top
of the range. High protein whey derivatives continue to see increased demand
and many manufacturers continue to prioritize those products over Extra Grade
and Grade A whey. Inventories are currently balanced.

Prices for: East, All First Sales, F.O.B., Edible Dry Whey
Price Range - Non-Hygroscopic; Dollars per Pound: 0.62 - 0.72
