This week, acid and rennet casein prices were unchanged. Acid casein production 
is seasonally light in Oceania and plant managers are primarily focusing on 
fulfilling contractual obligations. Demand for acid casein is light in Oceania. 
Contacts report international interest in acid casein is strong. Spot acid 
casein inventories are tight. In Europe, rennet casein production is strong. 
Contacts report demand for rennet casein is softening in Europe, but interest 
from purchasers in other regions is strong. Spot loads of rennet casein are 
available to meet current market demands. Some contacts report Q3 contracts for 
rennet casein are priced near the bottom of the current price range.
