Casein - U.S.

Released on May 29, 2025

Prices for acid casein pushed higher again this week. Milk output is declining
seasonally in Oceania and drought in parts of the region has pushed production
below May 2024. Contacts say this is limiting acid casein production in
Oceania. Demand for acid casein is light within Oceania, but contacts say
international interest is strengthening week to week. Spot acid casein
inventories are tight, and contacts say loads are getting more difficult to
obtain. Rennet casein prices also increased this week. Contacts in Europe say
demand within the region is steady but is increasing internationally. Spot
rennet casein inventories are somewhat snug, but more available than acid
casein. Rennet casein production is steady.
