Casein - U.S.

Released on May 28, 2026

Prices for acid casein increased across the range this week. Contacts in
Oceania report steady demand within in the region and say interest from
purchasers in other countries remains strong. Milk output is declining in
Oceania, contributing to lighter acid casein production. Spot purchasers say
inventories are tightening.

Rennet casein prices also increased across the range this week. Contacts in
Europe report lighter production of rennet casein in recent weeks has
contributed to some tightness in the spot markets. Plant managers say they are
primarily focusing on fulfilling contractual obligations and bringing few loads
to the spot market. Due to this, spot inventories remain tight in Europe.
Demand for rennet casein is strong.
