Fluid Milk And Cream - East U.S.

Released on October 15, 2025

Milk production is on the rise in the Northeast. Temperature declines are
contributing to increased farm-level milk output. Contacts continue to comment
on the availability of cream to the market. Class I production remains steady
in the region, with supply and demand balanced for bottled milk. Class II
production is on the rise. Contacts mention demand for extended shelf-life
heavy whipping cream is strong. Milk for Class III use is steady to lighter.
Scheduled maintenance at some facilities and unscheduled maintenance at others
is leading to higher availability of spot milk for Class III use. Class IV
demand is rising. Seasonal butter production is increasing to meet holiday
demand. There were no reported sales of cream destined for butter churns, and
contacts mention contract loads are sufficient to meet butter demands. Cream
for Class II and Class III use is increasing. Cream multiples for Class II
increased this week. Condensed skim production decreased for some facilities.
Condensed skim sales are also lighter this week, with the price falling at or
above Class price. Beginning November 1, 2025, this report will be published on
Thursdays at 1:30 PM EST/12:30 PM CST
