The buttermilk powder (BMP) market is slow in the Central and East regions. 
Contacts state there is more product than demand in the area. Prices were 
higher this week at the bottom of the range, but some contacts think last 
week's low prices were an anomaly. The top end of the range dropped one cent 
this week. BMP production is steady. Butter producers continue to have full 
churns providing buttermilk for drying. Inventory levels of BMP are heavier 
than suppliers would prefer.
