Market prices for buttermilk in the East and Central regions are rising this 
week. The bottom of the range rose $0.03, while the top of the range rose $0.04 
from last week. Manufacturers are producing enough for contract fulfillment, 
with some availability for spot purchases. Spot activity was slow to moderate 
this week. There were only a few reported sales of BMP, with contacts saying 
inventories are tightening. Butter churns continue to operate at or near 
capacity in the region.
