Prices for buttermilk powder (BMP) continue to edge higher. The range was 
higher at both ends this week, rising as nonfat dry milk prices continue to 
rise. Many manufacturers are only making enough BMP to meet contractual 
obligations, leaving very little available for the spot market. Spot demand 
remains high, and producers continue to field calls looking for any available 
volumes. Nonfat dry milk continues to take priority over BMP. Inventory levels 
of BMP are low and manufacturers don't anticipate any near term changes.
