"Tight," is the sentiment for buttermilk powder (BMP) this week. Buyers are 
having difficulty finding BMP on the spot market. Many facilities continue to 
prioritize nonfat dry milk (NDM) production over BMP due to the increased 
premiums and contractual obligations for NDM. The price for BMP rose at the top 
of the range this week as high demand is impacting the market value. 
Manufacturers continue to field calls looking for any spot availability, 
including partial loads and off-specification product.
