Whey Protein Concentrate - Central and West U.S.

Whey protein concentrate (WPC) 34% saw a significant increase at the top of the 
price range this week, while the remainder of the series held steady. Industry 
contacts reported strong sales and noted pricing is beginning to reflect the 
robust demand. Interest in Q3 sales is also building. Demand remains firm amid 
limited supplies, and record-high nonfat dry milk prices continue to lend 
support to WPC 34% values. Fewer prices were reported this week, partly due to 
an industry event. Overall, the market tone remains firm.
