The lactose price range was unchanged from last week. The lactose mostly price 
series moved slightly on the bottom of the range while the top was unchanged. 
Availability is short with inventories tight. Few loads are available for spot 
sales right now, most are contracted. Contacts stated there were a few 
destressed loads trading below price ranges. Manufactures continue to share 
higher mesh size lactose varieties are generally much tighter than lower mesh 
varieties. Export demand showed a strong rebound as purchasers in Southeast 
Asia reentered the market.
