Lactose prices moved lower at the top of the range this week, while the bottom 
of the range and the mostly series held unchanged. Spot demand slowed amid the 
New Year's holiday, limiting near-term trading activity. Producers continue to 
manage tight inventories, which keeps spot availability scarce. Southeast Asian 
export demand remains strong and continues to anchor overall market tone.
