Butter - Central U.S.

Released on September 09, 2026

Milk production in the Central region tightened slightly, as warmer weather
moved through the area. Industry contacts report Class I processors continue to
draw available spot milk volumes. Cream supplies are steady, with contacts
noting the recent holiday contributing to reduced spot market activity. Butter
makers in the region continue to indicate spot loads are trending toward Class
II and Class III processors. Butter markets remain active but stable overall.
Grade AA butter is holding steady, trading roughly flat to the CME. Inventories
of 80 percent butterfat remain ample, while stocks of 82 percent butterfat are
reported to be tight.
