Fluid Milk and Cream - Central U.S.

Released on October 30, 2025

Milk output is steady in the Central region, but contacts say component levels
continue to increase. Class I demand is strong, and some cheesemakers say they
continue to sell milk to bottling operations. Demand from Class II is
strengthening and is steady from Class IV processors. Contacts report light
spot Class III trading, as some cheesemakers have enough milk available in
network and are not looking for additional spot loads. Some cheesemakers say
they are moving loads to balancing plants, or to other nearby cheese plants due
to downtime. Class III spot prices range from flat to $2-over this week. Cream
multiples decreased across the ranges this week. Cream is plentiful in the
region, as production remains strong. Butter makers are limiting their cream
purchasing, as they are using internal volumes to run busy production
schedules. Contacts say demand from Class II processors is strong. Beginning
November 1, 2025, this report will be published at 2:30 PM EST/1:30 PM CST
