Fluid Milk and Cream - Central U.S.

Released on October 02, 2025

Cool temperatures in the Central region are improving cow comfort and
contributing to an uptick in milk production. Much of this additional
production is going towards Class I, amid strong demand for bottling. Demand
for Classes II and IV are steady. Contacts report Class III demand is light and
spot trades are light. Cheesemakers in the region say they are using internal
milk volumes, and few are purchasing spot volumes. Spot prices for Class III
milk range from $1.5-under to $1-over. Cream is plentiful in the Central
region, amid increasing milk output and strong component levels. Some spot
sales were reported this week at lower multiples, due to light demand from
butter makers. Class II cream demand is steady from last week but is light
overall.Beginning November 1, 2025, this report will be published at 2:30 PM
EST/1:30 PM CST
