Dry Whey - Central U.S.

Released on November 28, 2025

The bottom of the Central region dry whey price range is slightly lower, but
prices are unchanged at the top of the range. The mostly price series is 3
cents higher on both ends. Contacts report prices are generally moving higher
as several manufacturers are sold out of spot inventories, and some note
purchasers are often willing to pay higher prices for dry whey from specific
brands from resellers. Dry whey production remains limited as manufacturers are
focusing production schedules on higher whey protein concentrates (WPC) and
whey protein isolate (WPI). Stakeholders say prices for WPCs and WPI continue
to push higher, amid strong demand and limited availability. Some spot
purchasers say lower prices for spot dry whey on the CME and declining CME
futures prices may have an impact on dry whey prices in the coming weeks.
