Dry Whey - Central U.S.

Released on April 02, 2026

Dry whey prices increased at the bottom of the range in the Central region,
while the top moved lower. The mostly price series is unchanged at the bottom,
but prices decreased at the top. Spot loads of dry whey are available, though
purchasers interested in certain brands of dry whey or loads meeting stringent
end-user specifications report inventories of these loads remain tight.
Domestic demand is light, and contacts report steady demand from export
purchasers. Dry whey produced in Europe is selling at a premium price compared
to loads produced in the U.S., and some contacts report this is increasing
interest in loads, but high shipping rates are causing some potential
purchasers to look elsewhere for spot loads. Dry whey production is steady.
Animal feed whey prices are unchanged this week. Contacts say trading remains
limited, due to light demand and tight inventories.
