Scattered Thunderstorms Continue Across the South Wednesday
Showers, thunderstorms from Texas to the Gulf Coast. Cooler temperatures follow behind the front.
A cold front continues to be draped from the Southern Plains to the Ohio River Tuesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are forming along the front in Oklahoma and Arkansas and will increase throughout the rest of the day. The system moving along the front will continue into the Northeast on Wednesday, pushing the front farther south from Texas to the Gulf Coast. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop along that front for Wednesday. Meanwhile, below-normal temperatures continue to flow southward into the U.S. behind the front, which may result in areas of frosts and freezes across portions of the Plains and Great Lakes.
