Rain Moving Through Midwest, Northern Plains Storms Tuesday
Stalled front brings Midwest storms Monday; severe weather threatens Dakotas and Minnesota by Tuesday.
A stalled front is producing widespread showers and thunderstorms across the western and central Midwest Monday afternoon. Additional strong storms may develop in the Central Plains this afternoon and evening. On Tuesday, the front shifts eastward through the eastern Midwest while another system now moving into the Pacific Northwest will move into the Northern Plains. That system will likely produce some areas of strong-to-severe thunderstorms across the Dakotas into western Minnesota Tuesday afternoon and evening.
