Front, System Bringing Showers to Drought Areas Thursday
A front over Texas brings storms, while another system increases rain across the Plains.
A front has anchored itself across Texas, but is still pushing south of the Ohio River into the Mid-Atlantic Wednesday afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue there and in some places south of the front in the warm, moist air as well. The eastern end of the front will continue to slip southward into the Southeast for Thursday and showers and thunderstorms will continue along it again. Another system is moving into the Plains in two pieces with isolated showers from the Canadian Prairies down into the Central Plains Wednesday afternoon. The system responsible will increase coverage and intensity of showers across the Northern and Central Plains for Thursday as well.
