Solid Storms for South, Scattered in Plains Wednesday
A stalled front is bringing widespread showers, storms and flooding risk from the South through the Upper Midwest.
An old and diffuse frontal boundary remains waffling around the southern tier of the country on Tuesday afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms have erupted from Texas through the Carolinas southward, with a bit of a shield of more organized showers from the Ozarks into the Ohio Valley. That should largely continue for Wednesday. Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop in the High Plains both Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as a few in the Upper Midwest as well. Some pockets of heavy rain could develop, easing drought but causing some flooding, especially across the South.
