Big System Moving Into Northern Plains Wednesday
Widespread precipitation and strong winds for the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies. Warm temperatures continue.
Warm air continues to spread across the country on Tuesday, with snow melting across the Northern Plains and Midwest. Despite a weak cold front moving through the northern tier of the country, temperatures will remain quite warm for Wednesday. However, a bigger system will move into the Pacific Northwest tonight and along the U.S.-Canada border for Wednesday, bringing widespread precipitation and another round of strong winds to the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies. Most of the snow will remain north of the border, but some snow will wrap in behind the system with some colder air in the Northern Plains for Wednesday night and Thursday.
