Sharp Cold Front Moving Through Central US Friday

A weak system is moving east through the Midwest Thursday afternoon. Some showers are moving through with it and will continue to develop there into the Tennessee Valley through the evening. To the west, a strong cold front is moving into the Northern Plains while snow is falling in the Canadian Prairies. The front will push southeast into the Central and Southern Plains up into the Upper Midwest on Friday, where a severe weather outbreak is looking very likely from Oklahoma up through Wisconsin. All hazards will be possible with those storms. A big drop in temperature will follow behind the front, leading to some frosts in the Plains and Midwest this weekend.
