Storms in Midwest, Southwest Tuesday

Showers for the Midwest and Southwest, but snow is possible on the northern edge of the system.

A storm system is moving into the Central Plains Monday afternoon. Areas of showers are developing northward into South Dakota and eastward across Missouri and Iowa that will continue to expand into Monday night. The system should move through the bulk of the Midwest on Tuesday. Though most of the showers will fall as rain, some snow will be possible on the extreme northern edge across southern Minnesota into lower Michigan. The next storm system is in California and will spread rainfall into the desert on Tuesday. This system will move into the Plains on Wednesday.
