One Storm Leaving, Next One Arriving Friday

Showers, thunderstorms will turn to snow from Nebraska to the UP of Michigan. Snow for the southwestern Plains, Ohio Valley on Friday.

A potent storm system is moving from the Central Plains into the Midwest Thursday afternoon, bringing showers and thunderstorms that will eventually turn to snow on the northern edge from Nebraska into the UP of Michigan tonight. That system will continue through the Great Lakes into early Friday while showers will continue along the system’s cold front across the Tennessee Valley. Another system currently in the Southwest will bring snow to the southwestern Plains on Friday, with the storm center moving northeast through the Ohio Valley going into Friday night. Some severe storms will be possible across the Delta with this system, as well as some much-needed heavy rain through Saturday. Snow will increase as the system gets into the Great Lakes.
