Southern Front, Plains Storm Still Active Friday

A front is largely stalled from Texas into the Southeast on Thursday afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forming along it. Storms will continue there through Friday, but may have a tendency to spread northward into the southern Midwest as well. A pair of systems are combining in the Plains and producing areas of showers and thunderstorms. Those will increase as the systems congeal on Friday, spreading into the western Midwest as well.
