Showers Build Across the Southwest Plains on Friday

Relatively dry conditions and warm temperatures continue across the central U.S. Thursday afternoon. A system from the Southwest will enter western Texas and Oklahoma Friday afternoon, providing pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall. In addition to the rain, marginally severe thunderstorms could develop across western Texas that would pose a risk for isolated large hail and strong winds.
