Front Continuing to Push Through Midwest Friday

A front is pushing into the Midwest on Thursday afternoon, leading to areas of showers and thunderstorms. A portion of the front extends back through South Dakota, where some severe storms will be possible this afternoon and evening. On Friday, the front will be dragged farther south and east into the Midwest with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some severe weather and heavy rain will be possible as well, especially around eastern Nebraska and Iowa.
