Rain Spreading Back Into Middle of the Country Tuesday

A disturbance is moving out of the Midwest and into the Mid-Atlantic on Monday afternoon, carrying a mix of rain and snow with it. Another disturbance is moving through the West and into the Nebraska and South Dakota. That disturbance will strengthen as it moves east into the Midwest for Tuesday, resulting in more widespread rainfall for the middle of the country. A few thunderstorms are also expected, which a few may become severe across Oklahoma and Kansas Tuesday night. That will start a series of days of severe weather potential for the Southern Plains.
