Front Continues Through Midwest Friday
Strong-to-severe thunderstorms from eastern Plains to western Midwest. Colder air across the Prairies, Northern Plains.
A strong low-pressure system is moving into the Canadian Prairies on Thursday afternoon. It is producing a band of heavy snow in Saskatchewan and breezy winds across the Plains. The cold front to the system will move through the eastern Plains and into the western Midwest this afternoon and evening, where scattered thunderstorms will become strong-to-severe. The front will continue eastward through the Midwest on Friday, but get hung up in the South-Central U.S. where another round of severe weather will be possible. Colder air will continue to build across the Prairies and Northern Plains.
