Front Continues to Sink Southward Wednesday
A cold front brings scattered storms from Texas to the Midwest, with more rain and thunderstorms expected Wednesday through Thursday.
A cold front stretches from the Southern Plains into the Midwest Tuesday afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are found along the front, particularly from Texas into Missouri. Other showers and storms will form along and ahead of it across the Midwest this afternoon and evening. The front will continue to move southeast, settling from Texas into the Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday. Showers and storms will be frequent near the front. Another system will move down through the Canadian Prairies and into the Northern Plains on Wednesday, sparking showers and thunderstorms up and down the Plains. The showers will be isolated at first, but increase as the system moves into the Central Plains on Thursday.
