Big Storm Sweeping Through US This Weekend

Colder temperatures, widespread showers, strong winds and northern snow for the Midwest. Lake-effect snow across the Great Lakes.

A wintry mix of rain, freezing rain, and snow continues to move into the Mid-Atlantic Friday afternoon while another storm system is gathering in the Pacific Northwest. The second storm will sweep through the country this weekend into Monday, bringing a big change to the warm pattern. In addition to a sharp drop in temperature, the storm will produce widespread showers, strong winds, and northern snow. Blizzard conditions may be possible in the Upper Midwest going into Monday and the lake-effect snow machine will be on at full blast across the Great Lakes.
