Next Clipper Moving in Thursday

Weather systems bring snow, showers, and strong winds to Northeast, Midwest and northern Plains Thursday-Friday.

A system is moving through the eastern Great Lakes into the Northeast Wednesday afternoon. Scattered showers are found there through the Southeast. Cold air moving over the Great Lakes will induce lake-effect snow into Thursday. But another clipper system will be moving through the Canadian Prairies into the Upper Midwest on Thursday as well. Along with areas of snow and colder temperatures, the system will also produce extremely strong winds, particularly in the northern half of the Plains going into Friday.
