Two Clippers for Friday

First clipper to bring snow for the Ohio Valley. The second clipper will bring more snow to the Midwest and Ohio Valley, with extremely cold air following.

A clipper system is moving through the Northern Plains Thursday afternoon with a streak of mixed precipitation across that extends into the Midwest mostly as snow. The band will continue southeast into the Ohio Valley tonight into early Friday, dying out in the Mid-Atlantic. Another clipper will move into the Pacific Northwest on Friday and produce heavy snow in Montana. That band will continue southeast in much of the same areas as the first going into Saturday. Each band is forecast to produce 3-6 inches of snow that may overlap and will be followed by some extremely cold air for the weekend.
