Areas of Storms, Another System This Weekend

A batch of thunderstorms continues in the Lower Mississippi Valley Friday afternoon. This batch is changing shape, but will continue to produce some areas of heavier rainfall and severe weather into tonight while more thunderstorms develop across the eastern Midwest. These storms will push into the Southeast for Saturday. Another area of strong-to-severe thunderstorms is forecast to develop across the southeastern Plains on Saturday. That will come ahead of another storm moving into the Northern and Central Plains with widespread showers and thunderstorms for Sunday.
