Strong Storms Moving to Northeast Friday
Midwest severe storms Thursday; system shifts east with more severe weather through the weekend.
A compact storm system has already led to an early round of strong-to-severe thunderstorms in the Midwest Thursday morning. This afternoon, more strong storms will erupt over the Midwest with a risk of tornadoes and strong winds. The system will push into Ontario tonight, but its cold front will push into the Southern Plains and across the South into the Northeast where another round of severe weather will be possible. Another cold front will swing down into the Northern Plains on Friday, with another round of showers and potential for severe storms over the weekend.
