Wheat, Corn Export Inspections Higher Than Last Year; Soybeans Lower
Total corn export inspections are up 44% from last year. Soybean inspections are 32% lower than last year. Wheat inspections are 19% higher than 2024-25.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Tuesday for the week ended Feb. 12, 2026. Total corn inspections were 58.8 million bushels (mb), soybean inspections totaled 44.2 mb, and wheat inspections were 13.8 mb. All inspections were for the 2025-26 marketing year. The report was delayed one day due to Monday’s Presidents Day holiday.
Corn inspections totaled 58.8 mb for the week ended Feb. 12. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 1.407 billion bushels (bb), up 44% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports to total 3.300 bb in 2025-26, up 15% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2025-26 are running well ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is 46% larger than the previous five-year average.
Soybean inspections totaled 44.2 mb for the week ended Feb. 12. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 894.7 mb, down 32% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports to total 1.575 bb in 2025-26, down 16% from the previous year. Soybean inspections are running behind USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is 20% larger than the previous five-year average.
Wheat inspections totaled 13.8 mb for the week ended Feb. 12. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 650.5 mb, up 19% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports to total 900 mb in 2025-26, up 9% from the previous year. Wheat inspections are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is 28% larger than the previous five-year average.
