Corn Export Inspections Continue to Run Ahead of Last Year
Total corn export inspections are up 35% from last year. Soybean inspections are 9% lower than last year. Wheat inspections for 2025-26 are 10% higher than 2024-25.
OMAHA (DTN) — USDA released its weekly Export Inspections report Monday for the week ended Sept. 4. Total corn inspections were 56.8 million bushels (mb) and soybean inspections totaled 16.6 mb. Wheat inspections for 2025-26 were 15.6 mb for 2025-26.
Corn inspections totaled 56.8 mb for the week ending Sept. 4, 2025. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 25.6 mb, up 35% from the previous year. USDA is estimating corn exports to total 2.875 billion bushels (bb) in 2025-26, up 2% from the previous year. Corn inspections in 2024-25 are running ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of corn ending stocks is the highest in seven years.
Soybean inspections totaled 16.6 mb for the week ending Sept. 4. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now 9.1 mb, down 9% from the previous year. USDA is estimating soybean exports to total 1.705 bb in 2025-26, down 9% from the previous year. Soybean inspections are running equal to USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of soybean ending stocks is the second highest in five years.
Wheat inspections totaled 15.6 mb for the week ending Sept. 4. Total inspections for 2025-26 are now at 260 mb, up 10% from the previous year. USDA is estimating wheat exports to total 875 mb in 2025-26, up 10% from the previous year. Wheat inspections are running equal to USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of wheat ending stocks is the highest in six years.
