Cooler temperatures and scattered showers along the front, with a chance of northern frost Sunday morning.

Cold air continues to push southward through the country Friday afternoon. The cold front responsible is producing showers across the Central and Southern Plains and will spread farther south and east along the front as it drifts to the Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America) throughout the weekend. A frost risk exists from the Dakotas through Michigan, perhaps into northern Iowa and Illinois as well, if winds relax and skies clear. This is most likely on Sunday morning.
