Corn Futures Steady at 6:00 a.m. CST Tuesday

Corn: March corn futures rallied 7 cents to begin the new year, closing at $4.44 1/2 Monday, likely fueled by short-covering of funds.
Soybeans: March soybean futures surged 16 1/4 cents to end Monday at $10.62 on the first trading day of 2026, fueled by fund buying and rumors of China buying close to 1 million metric tons of U.S. beans.
Wheat: March Kansas City wheat futures rose 5 3/4 cents Monday to finish at $5.20 3/4, supported by strong corn and soy markets.
Live Cattle: February live cattle set back modestly from Friday’s surge, finishing down $0.12 to end the day at $235.87 but above all key moving averages.
Cotton: March cotton finished Monday just shy of the 50-day moving average, ending a 4-day swoon and rose 0.64 cent to end the day at 64.65.
