Corn Futures Lower at 6:00 a.m. CDT Tuesday

Corn: December corn futures closed up 2 3/4 cents on Monday to settle at $4.34 1/4, supported by strong inspections and the rally in wheat.

Soybeans: January soybeans surged 19 cents on Monday to settle at $11.34 1/4, still supported by last week’s new deal with China, rumors of China buying and the strong bean oil market.

Wheat: December Kansas City wheat futures closed up another 7 1/4 cents to finish at $5.31 3/4, supported by short covering and rumors of China interest.

Cotton: December cotton rose for a second straight day, moving up 0.14 cent to end the day at 65.68, again above the 50-day moving average.

Live Cattle: December live cattle futures finished up $2.52 on Monday to settle at $232.20, still above the 100-day moving average.
